Synergy was founded in January of 2007 and was formed by two experienced commercial real estate brokers whose expertise and focus has been entirely on the commercial real estate industry.

Jay has 29 years of management and leadership experience with the US Government and the private sector. Jay received his real estate broker’s license in 2000 and he is Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Less than 6% of all commercial real estate practitioners have earned this designation. He began working in the commercial real estate industry in 1996 as a commercial construction contract administrator and then as a development project coordinator. In 2000, after earning his brokers license Jay opened his own real estate firm specializing in the marketing and sales of single tenant retail properties.

Jay received his Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel in 1982. After graduation he served with the US Army in both the active and reserve components retiring in 2003. He is an active member of his church and holds leadership positions in Kiwanis and Community Bible Study. Jay is a member of the Pinehurst Southern Pines Area Board of Realtors, North Carolina Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, CCIM Institute.

Jay is married to Heidi Pittard and they have two children. They live in Pinehurst, North Carolina.

Eric joined the brokerage team at Synergy in early 2012. Having been in North Carolina since 2002, Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. While in school, Eric achieved his North Carolina real estate broker’s license. Eric has a strong family history in sales and enjoyed living in the resort community of Lewisburg, West Virginia, the home of the Greenbrier Resort. This background and Eric’s love for North Carolina made Pinehurst an obvious choice.

Eric is a dedicated and compassionate young man. During the summer of 2011, Eric cycled 3,642 miles across the United States to generate awareness and raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis and Fragile-X Syndrome. In total, Eric donated $10,000 directly to the Montel Williams MS Foundation and the National Fragile-X Foundation. In his free time, Eric enjoys running, cyclying frisbee golf and spending time with family and friends.
